Have you heard about Insulin for Life USA? Well, if you haven’t… I hope you’re ready for something pretty wonderful!
Insulin for Life USA (IFL USA) is a not for profit organization with a mission to rescue unused diabetes supplies here in the United States. We provide insulin and other diabetes supplies free of charge to those with diabetes who otherwise would go without these life saving provisions. We collect in-date, unopened, supplies from individuals or organizations and, following careful inspection, deliver them to disadvantaged regions to be utilized by those in need.
Pretty awesome right? I love the work they do, and I’m really excited to be working with them! I love that there are so many impactful ways that you can make a difference.
I was able to see the premiere of their new documentary, “Insulin for Life: Real Stories of the Struggle for Access and the Dedicated Individuals Who Help”, at IFL USA’s Save a Life reception during the American Diabetes Association’s 77th Scientific Sessions in San Diego in June. It was filmed by Show the Good in Belize, The Gambia, New York, and Florida.
I HAVE to say- those 20 minutes really do bring out all of the feels! This moving documentary helps share IFL USA’ s mission and portrays their impact on those they serve.
You don’t have 20 minutes right now? Well that’s okay! Add this to your “to watch” list and check out the short version!
There are many ways to get involved and make a difference! Don’t let your diabetes supplies go to waste- donate them!
Maybe you don’t have the supplies or finances to donate right now? Well- you can help out by spreading the word about what they do! Check them out Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn!
