Where to buy my work:
A percentage of everything I sell goes towards Camp Kudzu, a camp for children with diabetes. I have been going every summer since 2001 when I was 8. I now volunteer (and yes I travel from Boston to GA for camp each year!).

About me (Mindy Jean)
A few years ago, after moving from a small town in GA to Boston, I adopted two cats, Lilo & Stitch, and didn’t like any of the options for cat bowls. I signed up for my first pottery class at Feet of Clay to make them their own bowls in 2017 and fell in love! I didn’t end up making them their own cat bowls until later, and they have had variations since then.
I am still “finding my voice” in pottery, but I know that I want to tie in my passion for disability and mental health advocacy as someone who works in healthcare but also lives with type 1 diabetes, several other chronic illnesses, and mental health diagnoses.
“#madebymindyjean” (Made by Mindy Jean) which is what I call my work is a play on social media and being from the south. I go by Mindy, but in elementary school I really wanted to be called by my first and middle name. Why? So many of my classmates had those double names that sounded southern. My parents weren’t from the south and for that and many reasons, I never felt like I quite fit in. This was a way I wanted to try, Luckily, it didn’t “stick”, and I never truly fit in- I wouldn’t have it any other way!
